ARGO Operators Course
We are pleased at Expedition Rentals to be able to provide the Canada Safety Council (CSC) ARGO Operators Course
This course is a one or two day training program, depending on your needs. The training program is delivered by a CSC-certified instructor. The curriculum is based on field-tested techniques.
Day one (land operation only) 5-1/2 to 7 hour is on getting to know your machine, learning the controls and operations of the machine, and getting hands-on operation regarding a variety of riding techniques and strategies including:
- Legislation and regulations
- Proper riding gear/PPE
- Pre-ride inspection and basic maintenance
- Controls/safety equipment
- Proper riding techniques and safe operation of the ARGO
- Riding strategies
- Vehicle loading/capacity
- Riding over obstacles and hills
- Safe loading and unloading
- Preparing for emergencies
Day two (amphibious operation) 5-1/2 to 7 hour weather conditions permitting, is designed to further train and teach the individuals on winching techniques, as well as how to put tracks on or take them off. There is also a water component in day two which requires a Transport Canada approved safe boating licence/certificate prior to attendance to ensure rider have the skills and knowledge required when entering or exiting water with an ARGO.

We can provide a rental ARGO that will seat up to 2 riders or each rider can provide his or her own ARGO that is in safe working condition.
